Whether you spend your day at a theme park, shopping, relaxing by the pool or sightseeing, you will surely work up an appetite. My Castle House has put together a list of several great restaurants near Disneyland for you and your family to try.

The Pizza Press

Pizza is a go-to meal for many families and the locally owned Pizza Press in Anaheim offers a family-friendly atmosphere with a “newsy” theme. It also offers you the chance to design, or "publish," your own pizza.

When you "publish your own pizza," you begin with a 10-inch crust to which you can add your favorite sauce: classic red sauce, five cheese Alfredo or cold pressed olive oil. Then, top it with your choice of cheeses, craft meats, fresh seasonal vegetables, and additions, such as fresh basil, Sriracha and ranch dressing.

The Pizza Press also has several regular menu items, in case you don’t feel up to choosing your toppings. To go along with the theme of the restaurant, their featured pizzas have been given the names of well-known newspapers, including The Tribune, The Times and The Chronicle.

The Pizza Press also offers a kids’ meal, the “Jr. Editor,” which includes a 6-inch pizza, a fresh baked cookie and a fountain drink for kids 9 and younger. If you’re looking for a lighter meal, The Pizza Press does offer salads. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, they also serve fresh baked cookies and tiramisu. Don't have time to dine in? You can order for pickup! Need more info? Read all about it on their website.

Café Tu Tu Tango

Café Tu Tu Tango is another local restaurant that offers great food options in a family-friendly environment. Located at the Outlets at Orange, Ca., Café Tu Tu Tango is just about 5 miles from Disneyland Park.

The owners of the restaurant actually came up with the concept for the eatery after a trip to Barcelona, Spain. They were inspired by all the creativity they witnessed in cafes and coffee shops as artists and writers labored over their next masterpiece. As a result of this inspiration, the walls inside Café Tu Tu Tango are covered with original paintings by local artists. All of the artwork is for sale, so if you see something you love, you can get it to go.

It is likely that you will see an artist at work during your meal, as the café invites an artist to paint live in the restaurant on a regular basis. If your kiddos get inspired to paint, you can purchase a Young Master’s Art Kit for $7, which includes a mini canvas, watercolors and a brush.

The restaurant’s menu includes flavors from around the world, including quesadillas, empanadas, Cajun eggrolls and more. The kids’ menu includes chicken tenders, hamburgers and cheese pizza. Meals are served with apple slices or French fries.

Anaheim Garden Walk

Anaheim Garden Walk, which is very close to Disneyland Park, is another great spot to grab a bite to eat. Anaheim Garden Walk is home to several big chain restaurants including Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, McCormick & Schmick’s Grill and P.F. Chang’s. In addition to restaurants, Anaheim Garden Walk has plenty of shopping and entertainment options.
