For some travelers, shopping days are some of the most important days during a vacation. Time spent shopping is just as important as time spent seeing the sights, trying new restaurants and even relaxing. While visiting the Anaheim area, rest assured there are plenty of options for shopping near Disneyland and there’s something for everyone.

Here’s a rundown of some of the great shopping near Disneyland.

Anaheim GardenWalk

Whether you’re looking for cosmetics, an outfit for going out to dinner or a bathing suit for the beach or pool, Anaheim GardenWalk has it and a little bit of everything in between. Located close to Disneyland Resort and Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim GardenWalk offers 460,000 square feet of outdoor dining, shopping and entertainment options.

Shops include LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics, White House Black Market, Fresh Produce, G-Stage, Geeky Mamas, Kensington Luggage, O’Neill, Red Apparel and more.

South Coast Plaza

South Coast Plaza in nearby Costa Mesa is not only reportedly the West Coast’s largest mall, it’s also upscale shopping at its finest. Designer clothing stores include Hermès, Gucci, Lanvin, Balenciaga. Amazing jewelers include Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. Anchor stores include Macy’s (including a complete men’s store), Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue.

In addition to ultra-luxury brand name stores, the 2.8 million square foot mall also includes popular stores including Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Burberry and more.

For really serious shoppers, this mall has the added convenience of a package check at any of the four concierge desks. Simply drop off your packages as you continue to shop and collect them all when you are ready to head home. Strollers and wheelchairs are also available at the concierge.

Buena Park Downtown

Buena Park Downtown, located in Buena Park adjacent to Knott’s Berry Farm, spans 1.1 million square feet that has been separated into three areas where you can shop, dine and play.

The largest of the three areas is Buena Park Mall, a 782,000-square-foot enclosed mall that includes DSW Shoe Warehouse, Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx and a Wal-Mart. Buena Park Place offers an open-air shopping experience with Kohls, as well as Toys “R” Us and a “Babies “R” Us. Krikorian Courtyard offers mainly entertainment options including the Metroplex Theatres and a bevy of restaurants, including John’s Incredible Pizza Co., which offers food, more than 100 games and amusement park rides.

Outlets at Orange

When you travel, you inevitably forget something important: a jacket, a swimsuit, sensible shoes. Head to the Outlets at Orange to pick up what you left at home, and maybe even a few more things you just can’t live without. The outlet, located in the city of Orange, is an open air center with more than 120 outlet and value retail stores. Shop for the latest fashions at H&M, the perfect beachwear at Hurley and a cool hat at Lids. All of the stores at the outlets, including Neimen Marcus Last Call, Off 5TH and Nordstrom Rack, offer fashion at a great price, which leaves money in your pocket for more Anaheim adventures.

While you're at the outlets, be sure to check out the Vans Skate Park where you can either watch skaters pull amazing tricks on the 6,000 square foot “street course,” the 80-foot-wide vertical ramp or the Combi Pool, or try it out yourself!

Downtown Disney

Speaking of adventure, Disneyland not only is a great place for fun with the family, it’s also a great place to shop. Downtown Disney, located outside the park, has a plethora of shops for you to peruse. The World of Disney Store has the biggest selection of Disney merchandise on the West Coast. In addition to thousands of Disney plush toys, home décor, collectibles, and clothing items, you can create your own souvenir. Just step right up to the Build Your Own Charm Bracelet station to create a bracelet, necklace or key chain with ceramic beads and charms. You’ll have to take a spin through A World of Wonders, which has watches, jewelry, camera supplies and more, all displayed in themed rooms depicting scenes from Disney movies. There are more than 20 stores for you to visit in Downtown Disney. Visit the website for a full list of shops and restaurants.
