Great restaurants near the Anaheim Convention Center

Whether you’re in the Anaheim area for business or pleasure, one thing is for certain: you have to eat. Lucky for you there are a plethora of great restaurants near the Anaheim Convention Center making it convenient for you to dash out for a quick bite to eat with colleagues or enjoy a leisurely dinner with friends or family.

Umami Burger

Sometimes you just need a burger and Umami Burger on South Anaheim Boulevard is ready, willing and able to satisfy that hunger. Umami Burger’s menu is chock full of unique offerings, including seasonal specialties.

Regular menu items include the Truffle Burger, a burger topped with truffled aioli, house truffle cheese and truffle glaze. The Especiale features parmesan frico (crisps), a fried egg, truffle butter and truffled arugula. Menu items also include “unbeef” options, such as the tuna burger with crushed avocado, gingered carrots and wasabi tartar; and a veggie burger called the Sloppy Mami, which is a mix of lentils, mushrooms and tomatoes with Umami crema, cheddar, jalapenos and onion strings.

Umami’s creativity really shines with its featured menu items, including this fall’s Pumpkin Spice Latte burger.

The Packing House

In the early 1900s, the Anaheim Citrus Packing House was place farmers would come to unload their trucks of citrus to be washed, graded and packed into wooden crates for shipping. Nearly 100 years later, the Packing House has been restored and transformed into a mix of restaurants, a farmers market and community spaces that are used anything from yoga classes to live music. 

Located on Anaheim Boulevard, the Packing House features several restaurants. Try Indian fare at Adya, which focuses on traditional Indian cooking using the freshest local organic ingredients whenever possible. Indulge in fish and chips at the Chippy Fish & Grill, which serves each order fresh, crisp and golden brown. Treat yourself to a savory and sweet waffle sandwich at the Iron Press where you can also sip on any of their 24 specialty local and imported beers.

Cheesecake Factory

If you haven’t been to a Cheesecake Factory before, you may not know that the establishment prepares much more than just cheesecakes. The rich dessert is the reason the restaurant began in 1978, but it has since grown to offer an extensive menu of appetizers, salads, pizza, burgers and sandwiches, pasta, steaks, fish and of course desserts.

In addition to its regular menu items, Cheesecake Factory on West Katella Avenue is always adding to its menu. New items include Portofino Pizza with grilled chicken, spicy peppers, basil almond pesto and mozzarella, parmesan and Fontina cheese. 

Save room for dessert, because the Cheesecake Factory has more than 35 cheesecakes to choose from, including fresh strawberry, toasted s’more and red velvet cheesecake. If you’re not in the mood for cheesecake, you can select from other specialty desserts and ice cream.

Cortina’s Italian Market

When you crave Italian food, steer your taste buds to Cortina’s Italian Market on West Orange Avenue.

Enjoy lunch or dinner in the restaurant where you can choose from pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salads and more. All meals are made using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The restaurant does not prepare meals in advance and then keep them warm under a heat lamp. Instead each meal is handmade to order. Cortina’s sets the expectation that while your meal take a little longer to prepare, it will be worth it. If you don’t have time to dine in, take out is available.
